My captures come out blank
WeirdSnap needs Screen Recording permission. Click the menu bar icon, open Settings with the gear, and press Open Screen Recording settings…. Turn WeirdSnap on in that list, then quit and reopen it — macOS only applies the permission after a restart.
How do I take a capture
Click the menu bar icon, pick a shape, and drag over what you want. To skip the menu, set your own shortcut in Settings › Shortcut. Esc cancels.
Just one window
Click the menu bar icon, choose Capture Window, and pick the window.
Where do my captures go
Each one lands in the bottom-left corner of your screen. From there you can copy it, save it wherever you like, or drag it straight into another app. Nothing is saved on its own — discard a capture and it’s gone.
The white edge
That’s Sticker Mode. Turn it on or off, and set how wide the rim is, in Settings.
Copy without clicking Copy
Turn on Copy to clipboard automatically in Settings. Every capture goes to your clipboard the moment you take it.
Start it with the Mac
Settings › Launch at login.
Does it run on my Mac
macOS 26 or later.
Something is broken
Send the email above with your macOS version, the app version from the info button in the menu bar panel, and what you did just before it happened. That last one matters most.
