FAQ
I bought it and it says I haven’t
Open Settings › Your License and press Restore Purchase. If it still says otherwise, make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with.
I forgot the password
Nobody can recover it, including us — it is stored only as a hash on your Mac. Deleting the app’s container resets the lock, and takes your work with it. Export or back up first if you can still get in.
Where is my writing kept
In the app’s own folder on your Mac. It also keeps hourly snapshots; restore one from Settings › Backups. Nothing is ever uploaded.
I deleted a piece by mistake
Finished pieces retire to the Archive rather than disappearing. Look there first.
Does it run on my Mac
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
Something is broken
Send the email above with your macOS version, the app version from Syrma Essays › About, and what you did just before it happened. That last one matters most.
