What stays on your Mac

Everything you write, every draft, every backup an app keeps for you, and every setting lives in that app’s own folder on your Mac. None of it is sent anywhere. We run no servers; there is nowhere for it to go.

What we are told

Nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, no advertising identifier, no unique device or user identifier of any kind.

Apple sends us aggregate App Store figures — downloads, territories, how many bought the unlock. They arrive already pooled and never identify you. If you have opted in with Apple to share crash reports with developers, we may see a crash log; that is Apple’s collection under Apple’s terms, and you can turn it off in System Settings.

The lock

If you put a password on an app, it is stored on your Mac as a hash. It is not sent anywhere and cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. That is deliberate, not an oversight.

Purchases

Where an app is paid for, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account. We learn only whether this copy is unlocked.

If you write to us

When you email us, we have your message and the address you sent it from. It sits in our mailbox with our mail provider. We keep support correspondence for about two years, then delete it. We do not add you to any list.

This website

No cookies. No analytics. No third-party requests — the fonts and images on these pages are served from this domain.

Like every website, this one is served by a host, and that host records requests, including your IP address, for a short period to deliver pages and absorb attacks. We do not read those records or connect them to anything else.

Your rights

For the apps there is nothing to request: your writing is on your Mac, and you can move or destroy it without asking us. For email, write to the address above and we will delete our copy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this page and the date changes with it.
